Everybody assumes that every single person who identifies as LGBT+ gets along in rainbow land, which isn’t the case sadly.
Firstly the whole LGB+ Community continues to question why on earth transgender is mixed in with a bunch of sexualities, when in actual fact, we don’t know why. Before the 1990’s the community was named as the LGB community, but over recent years the T has been added and accepted within the family. Yes being transgender isn’t a sexuality, but its a gender identity.
Secondly, if you’re transgender and you identify as a gay male for some reason some individuals within the gay community go crazy! The amount of people who have said “Why don’t you be a straight woman then” to me is unbelievable, it’s like they can’t process the situation correctly.
Thirdly, I find that some transgender individuals are poisonous around other transgender individuals. I have been out for 4 years now and still to this day, other transgender people question my identity because I still haven’t started my transition. A few years ago I went to hell and back due to being severely bullied by this other transgender individual, I received death threats, abusive messages, abusive phone calls and a ton of words which I would never repeat. This incident happened because I hadn’t transitioned yet and that ‘I was lying’. To this day it still breaks my heart knowing that someone can hurt me so much, and that we’re going through similar situations.
Some people within the LGBT+ community seems to have a issue towards bisexual individuals stating that they are either straight or gay. When clearly this isn’t the case. A bisexual individual is not greedy! Love is love.
Everybody’s identity, fantasies, fetishes, body shapes, ages, background, races, sexuality, gender and passion is worth something, never belittle someone because they don’t fit your square box. We are all different, so lets embrace it and learn from it.
I don’t understand why communities feel the need to fight against each other, we are all fighting for equality together, but were never going to reach equality when we are all fighting with each other.
Be kind, be nice, don’t upset anyone and only say things that will make someone smile.
I have been nominated for an award!!!
I have recently been nominated for the positive role model within the LGBT+ Community, which is awarded by the national diversity awards here in the UK. If you would like to vote for me, check out the link here.
