1 in 5 teenagers have thought about suicide, about 1 in 6 teenagers have made plans for suicide, and more than 1 in 12 teenagers have attempted suicide in the last year. As many as 8 out of 10 teenagers who have commited suicide tried to ask for help in some way before committing suicide and people have the cheek to say ‘mental health isn’t a serious thing’. Mental health is as dangerous as cancer, other people can’t feel the pain, but the person suffering does, the person is a ticking time bomb and can go off at any moment. Mental health needs to change, especially in the uk because to many young vulnerable teenagers are loosing there lives because they think ‘nobody cares’ IT NEEDS SORTING OUT BEFORE ITS TOO LATE ✋✋ I don’t want my four year old sister to grow up in a society where she has no help, where she has nobody to talk to when she’s alone, and I definitely don’t want my sister to think ending her own life is the best option when she still has the chance to live her life, get married, have children. Whether someone’s depressed, bipolar, has a drug addiction or is self harming it should matter, everybody deserves the same sort of treatment and the correct sort of help insead of being told ‘you’re having a bad day’ ‘it’s not that bad’ ‘you’re attention seeking’. SOMEONES AGE DOESNT DETERMINE WHETHER THEYRE MENTALLY ILL OR NOT. When will someone fix this?
